Nurses: perform health histories, disease management & education, medicine management & education, wound care, IV therapy and injections, and anticoagulation management. RN-registered nurse, APRN-advanced practice registered nurse LPN-licensed practical nurse, CNA-certified nursing assistant, PCW-patient care worker
Physical Therapists (PT): promote functional independence to prevent, identify, assess, correct, or alleviate acute or chronic movement dysfunction, physical disability, or pain.
Occupational Therapists (OT): restore self-care, work, and leisure skills that reduce abilities to cope with the tasks of everyday living. Identify and initiate strategies to promote independence.
PTA and OTA are assistants that work under the supervision of physical therapists and occupational therapists.
