Home Health Aide

Provide basic health-related services, homemaking, and meal preparations.

Our home health aides help patients who are disabled, chronically ill, cognitively impaired or just have difficulty getting around.  Home health aides are certified and typically do the following:

Long Term Support:

  • Involves a variety of services designed to meet an individual's personal care needs

  • Helps people to live as independently and safely as possible when they can no longer perform everyday activities on their own

  • Provides respite care and gives short-term relief to primary caregivers

  • Typically involves assistance with everyday activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, using the toilet, eating, and moving around​

  • Provides companionship

Homemaking:​​

  • Do light housekeeping, such as laundry, washing dishes, and vacuuming in a client’s home

Meal Preparations:

  • Assist with meal preparations to comply with a client’s dietary specifications

 

Medical Care:

  • Provide basic health-related services according to a patient’s needs, such as checking vital signs or other tasks as delegated by a nurse
